Sedona...Old Age Pass, Bell Rock, and Chapel of the Holy Cross

I forgot to tell everyone that Joselyn got her old-age pass at the Ranger Station in Sedona. Free entry into National Parks and Monuments, half-price camping at National Parks, Forests, Corps of Engineers, and Bureau of Land management campgrounds. A great deal!
We started on the short hike to Bell Rock, but we had Thistle with us and it got too hot for him. He just went from one shady spot to the next and sat down. So I sent Joselyn on ahead to finish the trail to the base of Bell Rock, while I started back with Thistle from one shady spot to the next.
This is considered a "Vortex" spot, and people leave these cairns to symbolize the aura.
Some pictures I took while Thistle rested in the shade.

Mickey Mouse Ears
Here comes Joselyn on the way back.
We made one more stop on the way back...Chapel of the Holy Cross.
Built into the red rocks.
View from the Chapel.
The walkway up to the Chapel from the parking lot.
The Chapel from the top.
Beautiful flowers everywhere.
Looking down at the parking area.
Fountain outside the Chapel. Joselyn and I took turns staying outside with Thistle. (In the shade)
I'm not sure, but I'm guessing this property below also belongs to the Catholic Church. That is Cathedral Rock in the background.
Lily pond associated with the property below.
Mosaic outside the Chapel entrance.
Inside the Chapel....candles are lit.
Inside the Chapel.
This time we drove up to the vista for sunset and full moon, which rose an hour after the sun set.
