Sedona, AZ....the town

Here's Joselyn at the vista overlooking Oak Creek Canyon. I drove this scenic route 89A into Sedona.
The road into the canyon.
We stayed at Rancho Sedona RV Park. It was walking distance to town and had full hook-ups so we could leave Thistle with AC. This trail is the short cut to town.
Art work at the center of one of many roundabouts in Sedona.
View from the walk into town.
We stopped to check on our reservations for the Pink Jeep Tour the next day. That will be the next blog post.
While Joselyn was shopping for gifts, I admired the artwork outside.
Sacajawea and Pomp (papoose), the Indian woman who was a guide for Lewis and Clark on their expedition west.
Bearded lizards on display from a nearby animal park.
This area inspires a lot of artists.

Cacti are in bloom.
A view of Sedona from one of the balconies.
Fence mender.
We can see Snoopy Rock and Peanuts character Lucy from our campground. Snoopy is the lower figure....lying on his back on his doghouse, nose on left, feet on right. Lucy's profile is in the middle on the upper rock.
Another picture of Snoopy Rock.
We climbed the hill and followed a trail to a vista for sunset.
Sunset in Sedona.
But the almost full moonrise was prettier than sunset.

And the last rays of sun gave the red rocks an even redder glow.
Thistle watching the sunset.
Sunset the first night.
Almost full moon.
